Celtics legend Paul Pierce appears to be enjoying Boston's 2024 NBA championship more than just about anyone on the current roster.
On Tuesday, the Hall-of-Fame small forward struck back at Celtics critics with a triumphant Twitter post aimed at media analysts Jayson Williams, Colin Cowherd, Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley and others.
Pierce lashed out with a post questioning "where the clowns are" in a post that was viewed nearly 700,000 times as of Thursday morning.
Pierce's comments may have been a bit harsh in retrospect judging by O'Neal and Barkley's comments.
"The Celtics do not have three or four guys who can guard Luka,' O'Neal can be heard saying in the video below. "I like Dallas in this series."
Barkley's comments were even more tame by comparison, but both Barkley and O'Neal were given the "clowns" treatment by the former Celtics legend.
Pierce won his lone title in 2008 with the Celtics. O'Neal won three titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and one with the Miami Heat, while Barkley failed to win the title in his only Finals appearance with the Phoenix Suns.
