'I'm lucky to be standing here': Gordon Ramsay shows gruesome injuries after near-fatal bike accident
Gordon Ramsay is never one to be lost for words but the chef was left understandably shaken after a bike accident this month.
Taking to his social media he used his recent experience to highlight the importance of wearing a helmet and released it on Father's Day, to 'all dads out there.'

After wishing everyone a delightful day he then showed his followers what had happened to him by lifting his shirt and we have to warn you, we have never seen anything like it and it may make you squirm.
In the video, there seems to be not a scratch on the star as Gordon told his followers 'I don't care how short the journey ...they have got to wear a helmet.'
'I'm lucky to be standing here. I'm in pain it's been a brutal week. I'm sort of getting through it but I can't tell you the importance of wearing a helmet.'
Wishing all Fathers out there, old and young a 'Happy Father's Day,' he once again emphasised his message and said 'because if I didn't, honestly, I wouldn't be here now.'

The accident happened in Connecticut and while he didn't go into detail he thanked the medical hospital at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
Lifting up his top he said while he did not 'break any bones or suffer any major injuries,' he did get bruised stating he looked like a 'bruised potato.'
If this doesn't make you want to wear a helmet, we don't know what will change your mind.
