BBC EastEnders fans slam Sharon Watts' blunder as 'mistake' leaves The Six in danger
EastEnders fans were quick to slam Sharon Watts' blunder on Monday night after a new Dean Wicks bombshell.
Soap watchers will recall that Keanu Taylor was stabbed to death on Christmas Day with a meat thermometer by Linda Carter who was trying to protect pal Sharon, as Keanu began strangling her. The Six, including Sharon, Linda, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale and Denise Fox, then covered up the crime and their parts in it.
Keanu's corpse was buried under the floor of the café, while the women told the police that Keanu had fled and was on the run after attacking Nish Panesar. This lie and his true fate was finally exposed earlier this year when his corpse was found at the café with the woman framing evil Dean for the crime.
The BBC One soap has now teased that Linda could find herself exposed by an old family friend as Callum Highway was left suspicious on Monday after a new Dean bombshell. During the episode, Keanu's devastated mum Karen Taylor confronted Linda in the Queen Vic after visiting Dean in prison. Karen said: "I went to see Dean...", adding: "I had to look him in the eye and ask him why he did it. Dean said you lied to the police, Linda, that you're trying to frame him."

Linda was left shocked at Karen's bombshell but quickly faked surprise and started laughing at the accusation. Karen then asked: "Did you lie to the police? Tell me!" to which Linda replied: "Of course I want him to face justice for what he did, but this isn't about that, right, I know what I saw." Karen then pointed out that if Dean was telling the truth, it meant Keanu's real killer was still walking free somewhere. Linda shut down Karen by insisting: "I'm not lying...", pointing out every evil thing Dean has ever done.
However, it was one comment in particular that caught Callum's attention, who witnessed the confrontation, as Linda said: "He is evil, twisted, he needs to be locked up, whatever it takes." Later, Callum shared his suspicions with Sharon as he told her about Karen's words in the pub. He said: "She is right, though, some of it doesn't make sense, does it? What if my colleagues have missed something?
"There's a lot of pressure to get a result early. Maybe, they haven't been looking at who they should have been. What do you reckon?" to which Sharon snapped before storming off, leaving Callum suspicious. Later in the episode, Callum told Phil Mitchell his suspicions, admitting he thinks Karen might be onto something as Linda's reaction was 'weird', he had also been confronted by Linda's son Johnny Carter.
The episode ended with Karen leaving Albert Square once again for Spain while Phil confronted Sharon after she left her phone unattended as he spotted suspicious texts off Linda. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Don’t leave your phone lying around Sharon anyone could read it. #EastEnders", a different account put: "Linda, Sharon and Johnny are terrible at this. No wonder Callum is so suspicious! #EastEnders", another wrote: "Your actions don’t look suspicious at all, Sharon #Eastenders" while a different viewer added: "Everyone needs to apologise to linda, she kept her cool for once and now here’s johnny and sharon losing their heads #EastEnders."
