With Election Day only five months away, a new poll shows Donald Trump holds a significant lead over Joe Biden in Iowa.
The poll released Monday by the Des Moines Register and Mediacom, shows Trump ahead of Biden 50 percent to 32 percent among likely voters.
Independent candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr earned support from 9 percent of likely voters.
Another two percent of likely voters selected Libertarian presidential candidate Chase Oliver, while one percent would not vote and three percent are undecided.
The numbers are not a big difference from a February Iowa poll, when Trump led Biden 48 percent to 33 percent among likely voters.

The poll also shows Biden's approval rating among Iowans remains low at 28 percent. Another 67 percent disapprove of his performance as president.
The numbers are down from February when the president earned a 29 percent approval rating.
Pollster J. Ann Selzer, President of Selzer & Co. said the figures show a "consistent decline."
"It's not that that's a lot of change," she said. "It's just that the direction is consistently downward."
Seventy-seven percent of Democrats approve of Biden's performance, and 97 percent of Republicans disapprove.
With Election Day in November, President Biden's reelection campaign announced it was spending $50 million advertising blitz this month.
It will include the campaign's first television ad discussing Trump's felony conviction in his hush money trial in Manhattan last month. The ad also notes the former president was found liable for sexual assault and financial fraud in separate cases. Trump also faces felony charges in three other criminal cases, none of which may go to trial before the November election.
Biden's campaign says it wants to more clearly define the choice between the candidates ahead of the first debate between the pair on June 27.
The campaign includes more than $1 million of ads targeting Black, Hispanic and Asian American voters. It will air on general market television and connected TV on streaming devices in battleground states as well as on national cable.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing. He has argued, without evidence, that Biden or Justice Department officials orchestrated the New York case against him for political reasons.
