Gordon Ramsay makes £11m profit as star's huge TV deals with Fox and ITV pay off

Gordon Ramsay has made a whopping £11m in profit this year, according to accounts filed by his Humble Pie company.

The telly firm announced an exact turnover of £43,175,522 for an 18-month period up to 30 June 2023, which yielded a £11,516,196 gross profit, according to their latest financial statement. The previous financial year saw the firm turn over £7 million and make £3.9m gross profit.

According to the accounts filed with Companies House, the reason for the jaw-dropping jump is due to a joint venture with Fox from September 2021, and Gordon's new TV shows in the US and the UK.

It states: "The company has been commissioned to produce shows such as Trailblazers for the BBC, Gordon’s Food Stars for Fox and Next Level Chef for both ITV and Fox. The commissioning of these shows has significantly contributed to the dramatic increase in the turnover during the period.”

According to Forbes, the chef's latest Studio Ramsay Global deal with Fox Broadcasting Company was estimated to be worth an eye-watering £150m. With shows, including Next Level Chef and Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars, the straight-talking Scot is enjoying stratospheric success.

However, Ramsay has insisted his six kids "won't see a penny" of it. He revealed in 2017 that he wants them to make their own way in life, just like he did. Gordon said: "It's definitely not going to them, and that's not in a mean way; it's to not spoil them. The only thing I've agreed with Tana is that they get a 25 per cent deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat," reports the Telegraph.

He added: "I've never been really turned on about the money. That's not my number one objective and that's reflected in the way the kids are brought up." Despite his humble upbringing, the father-of-five has strict rules for anyone wanting to attend his flagship restaurant in London. Gordon has a number of restaurants in the UK including his Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, which was established in the capital back in 1998.

The restaurant's website states that it provides "unparalleled service and fine dining with an intimate ambience". Its menu includes dishes such as ratatouille, turbot and soufflé. And one three-course set that's available is priced at £180.

However, there is also information on its website about its "smart dress code". Customers are asked to "avoid" wearing shorts, tracksuits and hoodies. It doesn't state if guests won't be allowed entry if they don't adhere to the dress code, but states: "We would like all of our guests to feel free to express their own individual style. However, we do ask guests to avoid shorts, tracksuits and hoodies. Smart trainers are fine. We know lots of our guests like to dress smartly which we appreciate! Ultimately we want every guest to feel at home."

According to the Daily Mail, the advice provided for customers at the swanky eatery on its website has been "toughened up" in the last year. The outlet added that the venue's advice has also been "made more explicit".

The Mirror has contacted Gordon's reps for comment on this story.
