Emotional moment Michael Strahan's daughter Isabella, 20, finally rings the chemo bell after months of grueling treatment for brain cancer

Michael Strahan's daughter Isabella got emotional as she rung the bell to mark the end of her chemotherapy, after months of undergoing grueling treatments for brain cancer.

Back in January, Isabella, 20, revealed that she had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma - a rare form of brain cancer - and that she was starting chemotherapy.

But now, the University of Southern California freshman has officially completed her treatment - and she celebrated by ringing the monumental chemo bell alongside her loved ones.

Isabella captured the heartwarming moment and shared it to her YouTube channel, where she has been documenting every step of her battle.

In her latest vlog, which was uploaded over the weekend, the 20-year-old said that she was so 'excited' to be completing her treatment.

It began with a clip that showed her laying in her hospital bed while receiving the final 'bag of chemotherapy.'

'This round has not been bad at all,' she told her followers. 'I've just been sleeping a lot.'

After 'officially finishing her chemo,' Isabella took a moment to reflect on her 'long journey.'

'Officially finished my chemo, yay,' she gushed. 'This is a long journey but I made it and now I have to recover and get back to my usual state, which is going to take a long time but I'm done with treatments.'

To commemorate the feat, the hospital staff threw a party for Isabella.

Her nurses and doctors, as well as her friends and family members, all lined up in the hallway, which was decorated with balloons.

As she walked to down the corridor, everyone cheered and threw confetti on her.

Isabella's parents, Good Morning America host Michael and his ex-wife Jean Muggli, who were married from 1999 until 2006, as well as her twin sister Sophia and half sister Tanita were all there.

Then, she approached the bell and read a poem written on the wall before ringing it.

'Ring this bell, three times well, it's a toll to clearly say, my treatment's done, this course is run, and I am on my way,' she said.

Isabella, who wore black sweatpants, a matching tank top, and a gold crown, smiled from ear to ear as she rang it proudly.

'My confetti parade was really fun. I love all my nurses. It's a great day,' she said afterwards.

The day concluded with the family all going to get food together at a local diner.

Isabella also took to Instagram to celebrate, sharing a slew of photos taken from throughout her treatment.

'After the wildest eight months, I finally got to ring the bell. Grateful for my journey,' she wrote.

One image showed her laying on a hospital bed with a slew of equipment hooked up to her, while another featured her smiling with gauze wrapped around her head.

Isabella first shared the news that she had been diagnosed with cancer during an appearance on Good Morning America with her dad in January.

At the time, she explained that she had undergone emergency surgery after doctors found a tumor 'bigger than a golf ball' growing at the back of her brain.

Since then, she has been documenting her horrific journey on her YouTube account, where she has now racked up more than 41,000 subscribers.

In one video shared in February, Isabella opened up about some of the terrible symptoms she has endured as a result of her chemotherapy.

At the time, she said 'everything' hurt and it felt like she was 'having a heart attack.'

'My eyes are strained, they hurt to look to the sides. My whole mouth feels like I got one giant root canal,' she continued.

'Every single tooth, just ripped out and not even surgically put back in. My jaw hurts, the bottom of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I gulp water.'

Later that month, she revealed that she had to a third emergency surgery after suffering from a 'major setback' in her treatment.

Michael previously said of her decision to be so open about her health online, explaining, 'She's [doing it] in the hopes that other people with the same diagnosis will feel supported and know they are not alone.'
