North Perth crash: Man who flipped his car on Charles Street near Ellesmere Street fled the scene, police say
A driver flipped his car in North Perth then fled the scene, police allege.
Police said the crash happened about 11.50pm on Sunday when the man was driving his white Nissan Navara utility along on Charles Street near Ellesmere Street in North Perth.
The vehicle then left the road, hit a light post and a small metal bollard before flipping.
“The driver, a 38-year-old man, exited the vehicle and attempted to flip it back over before fleeing the scene,” a police spokeswoman said.

The driver was arrested a short time later on Walcott Street.
He was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medial treatment of minor injuries.
Inquiries are continuing.
