Angina is a condition usually caused by partial blockade of coronary arteries by atheromatous plaque. Usual predisposing factor is hypertension, so it is better to avoid dietary salt intake. If the patient also has diabetes, control the dietary intake of carbohydrates. Fat intake, especially saturated fatty acid intake, should be restricted.
