Superstar? Jets' Garrett Wilson Wows Teammates
Garrett Wilson has been one of the few bright spots on a New York Jets offense that has been among the worst in the league over the last two seasons.
Despite catching passes from four different quarterbacks in each of his first two seasons, Wilson has managed to record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons - the first time ever for a Jets receiver in team history.

"Garrett's the real deal. G5 is real," said cornerback D.J. Reed during minicamp. "I felt like he's gotten better. He's just a great football player."
During offseason workouts, Wilson's play has been of a player not just among the better bright spots on a bad offense, but a superstar preparing to make his mark on the league.
At the very least, the return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers may be the one thing separating Wilson from being in the conversation among the best receivers in the game today.
"Just get the ball to G5 and he's gonna make something shake," Reed stated. "As far as route running, top-tier route runner. He has top-tier hands, and jumping ability. He's really an overall great receiver."
Reed and other players have seen Reed play with them for the last two seasons. New York has brought in plenty of other quality starters and role players to bolster the offense and put less pressure on the Ohio State product.
The only thing that has happened, though, is those newcomers continue to be in awe of Wilson and his drive to be great.
"I've been very impressed with him and I told him that the first week that I got here. I was always a fan of him from afar," backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor said of Wilson. "I feel like I caught a lot of their games last year, so I got a chance to see him, Then actually being around him, seeing the way he works, the way he's intentional about his approach."
As Wilson prepares for his third season, ending the Jets' 13-year playoff drought is the only thing on his mind. Along the way, it appears the 23-year-old is catching greatness.
