New poll shows Opposition leader has taken the lead as preferred Prime Minister
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has taken the lead as preferred Australian Prime Minister, The Sydney Morning Herald and the Age Resolve political monitors survey revealing Mr. Dutton is backed by 36% of voters compared to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese 35%. Despite the narrow margin, it is the first time the opposition leader has been favoured since the survey started. Labour's primary vote has dropped to 28%, with the LNP steady at 36%.
