Witch Hunt! Jalen Hurts' Comments Regarding Nick Sirianni Mean Nothing
Jalen Hurts has always been a man of few words throughout his playing career. That is what has enamored him to many across the Philadelphia Eagles franchise.
His latest comments, or lack thereof, seemingly altered the organization's thoughts, though.
USA Today
Following the end of mandatory minicamp, Hurts said he was unsure of the changes Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was making for the offense. That, in turn, made several media members curious as to the relationship between head coach and quarterback going into a make-or-break season for both.
Of course, when it comes to the Philadelphia media, those who feel concerned about Hurts' comments really miss what's going on inside the Novacare Complex.
With the Eagles using a new offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore, and with 95% of the offense being new according to Hurts, the job of the quarterback should be to focus exclusively on his role and the new playbook.
Sirianni even said he wasn't seeing much of Hurts this offseason because he's been working with Moore to be prepared for the offense.
Reporters and media members seemed to forget that, though. Or at least ignored it.
In reality, the relationship between Hurts and Sirianni won't be as important this year as in previous seasons. That's what happens when you bring in a brand-new offensive coordinator.
With close to 40 days separating the Eagles' OTAs and training camp, this story, like many during this time, will die down once important work actually begins.
