'Going on up to the spirit in the sky, It's where I'm gonna go when I die, When I die and they lay me to rest, I'm gonna go on the p*** with Georgie Best', sang the United supporters.
United had started the match brightly before Arsenal settled into it as they looked to stretch the title race into the last day of the season.
The opening goal came when Casemiro kept Havertz onside before the German forward delivered a low cross into the box which Trossard dispatched.
The defeat now means United are unlikely to qualify for Europe next season as they currently sit eighth, three points behind Chelsea and Newcastle.
Ten Hag's side will seek to return to winning ways when they return to Old Trafford on Wednesday to take on Newcastle.
