George Clooney delighted fans on Thursday as he took a quick break while filming his new movie in Italy to chat to them.
Fans were heard shouting 'happy birthday' to the two-time Oscar winner while chatting over the set's security fencing.
George, who celebrated his 63rd birthday on Monday, replied saying 'sono vecchio', which means 'I am old' in English.
The actor seemed in good spirits as he cut a smart figure in a white open collar shirt which he teamed with beige trousers.
The encounter with fans was only short as the Ocean's Eleven star was seen ducking back under a netted fence while carrying a drink on his way back to set.

On Monday, George celebrated his 63rd birthday by shooting hoops with co-star Adam Sandler while in between takes of their new Netflix movie in Italy.
The award-winning actor beamed with delight playing basketball with the 57-year-old comedian, whom he originally met in 1995 while hosting NBC's Saturday Night Live for the first time.
Adam - who was an SNL cast member from 1990-1995 - gained a slight advantage by wearing a blue dribbling glove on his left hand.
Adam and The Boys in the Boat director have never worked together before three-time Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach's untitled film, which is called Jay Kelly - according to World of Reel.
Plot details are still secret, but Deadline previously reported the movie was 'a funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults.'

Adam famously signed a lucrative $250M deal with Netflix in 2014.
Noah - who co-wrote Jay Kelly with Emily Mortimer - previously directed Adam in his critically-acclaimed 2017 Netflix dramedy The Meyerowitz Stories.
Baumbach also cast his second wife Greta Gerwig as well as Mortimer, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Jim Broadbent, Isla Fisher, Josh Hamilton, Stacy Keach, and Patrick Wilson.
'Noah Baumbach's got an excellent kind of Jerry Maguire-esque, for lack of a better analogy, but a really great life-affirming movie with two big movie stars that's starting to come together,' former Netflix Films chairman Scott Stuber told Collider on November 11.
