Following the accident, the actor’s neighbor dialed emergency services who took him to intensive care in a life-threatening condition. The run-down broke close to 30 of his bones, fractured his legs, punctured his lungs, and left him with a lacerating liver. Even after undergoing a string of surgeries, his condition remained critical. In such a situation, his now 11-year-old daughter, Ava, came to his rescue, as per his own words in talks with ET via CBS8.

In another shocking detail, he also opened up about writing his final words to his family from the hospital. Furthermore, with eight broken ribs and multiple broken joints, his condition remained extremely dire.
