Three day Fleadh Fest in Co Wexford town
A three-day festival is being held in New Ross this weekend to complement the national Fleadh.
Taking place in the Library Park, Fleadh Fest ’24, will see nationally renowned trad musicians perform in the amphitheatre space.
Excitement is building across the Model County with traditional musicians of all ages gathering in Wexford from August 4 to August 11, for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2024.
Locally, music will ring out this weekend.
On Friday, June 28, Zoe Conway and John McIntyre are in concert featuring the music of John Dwyer, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On the following night, at the same time, ‘Remembering Ronnie Drew’, a brand new show led by Phelim Drew, the son of Ronnie Drew from the Dubliners, takes place and on Sunday, Magic Feet Irish Dance Troupe will perform an afternoon of Irish dance from jigs and reels to Riverdance at 2.30 p.m.
