Mahomes flashes his cannon on deep-ball connection with Marquise Brown
Could he be added to the Kansas City Chiefs? Could he join up with this guy Hollywood Brown, who it sounds like is already making an impression on his new QB in Kansas City? Yeah, I mean, I've seen it the the entire offseason from working in Texas till here. And I remember the first day I told guys like Drew and I was like, hey, like he's going to he's going to try. He tracks him down the field well and he can he can really go. And I think you all saw it today. I mean, I'm I'm giving him chances downfield. He's making the place happen. And the more plays he makes, the more we'll we'll continue to give him those chances on. It's a good, good addition to our offense. Hollywood Brown, a very fascinating guy as we welcome Steve White back into the conversation here. Because you know that he's got the speed. He's a player who's never practiced a whole lot in terms of, like, you look at the injury report every week, it's always he's got a foot, he's got something going on. He still can make plays. And in Kansas City, we know one thing. If you can run above all else, yeah, it's great to have other traits, too. But if you can run, if you've got speed, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes will find a way to get to the football. And with the show's Hollywood Brown, let's not forget they drafted Savior Worthy, Mr. 4240 at the combine, Xavier Worthy. Now they've got two guys who can stretch and feel vertically. That's going to unclog the middle of the field for Travis Kelsey. That's been the issue with the Chiefs last year when teams were defending them differently, kind of playing that umbrella zone coverage to keep everything in front of him. You have two guys who can go vertical. That's going to be good. And and don't forget, it may sound crazy, Cadarius, Tony, he who didn't play in the playoffs last year for whatever reason, he's been working out with Patrick Mahomes all offseason down in Texas as well. If they can get him going again, they can have a receiver core that whether Rasheed Rice is suspended or not for what he's going through for a few games that can make up for his his absence or just add to Rice on the field. But adding those vertical threats again, it's going to open up the field, Tom, for what Andy Reid can do over and over and that's reinvent his office.
