Flick verbally agrees deal, has clear plan for Barca
Barcelona have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Hansi Flick to become coach in the summer if Xavi departs at the end of the season.
Deco and Bojan have spoken with Flick this week about the job, and it’s now being claimed that the former Bayern boss is ready to take over.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg says there is a verbal agreement between the two parties and Joan Laporta is “100% convinced” about the ex-Germany boss.
Flick is also said to have presented Barcelona with a clear plan, although there’s no detail about his thoughts for the team.
Diario AS are also reporting an agreement has been reached and believe Flick could sign a two-year contract with the club.
Xavi remains manager for now and will take charge of the team on Sunday for their final La Liga game of the season. That could well be Xavi’s last act as Barcelona boss with a meeting set to decide his future expected at the start of next week.
