NBA Dunk Legend Nate Robinson Can't Believe Caitlin Clark's ESPN Lowlight

Former NBA guard and three-time Slam Dunk Contest champion Nate Robinson couldn't help but comment on ESPN showing an embarrassing Caitlin Clark play during the Indiana Fever-Phoenix Mercury game on Sunday.

Late in the first quarter, Clark had Mercury forward Rebecca Allen touching the floor with some crafty dribbling. It would have been a massive highlight play for the Fever rookie, but the problem was she airballed the ensuing triple after getting her space.

Despite the incomplete play, though, ESPN still posted it on social media and captioned it with, "IF ONLY THIS WENT IN."

Fans were quick to criticize the network for sharing a play that failed massively. Sure, the ankle breaker was great, but many can't help but feel that the network posted it just because it was Clark who did it.

Robinson, for his part, definitely felt the same way as many fans and made his thoughts known on the comments section.

"Y’all love her so much yall showing air balls lol," the former NBA journeyman shared.

There's no denying that Caitlin Clark's ankle breaker was a highlight on its own, but ESPN could have just cut the airballed shot instead of including it. After all, it gave off that look that they are just overhyping the Fever rising star.

The embarrassing play aside, Clark has plenty of reasons to smile after the game. Not only did the Fever beat the Mercury 88-82, but she also recorded a near triple-double with 15 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists.

With that said, it's still a night to remember for Clark and the Fever.
