Jean-Luc Mélenchon will not be PM if left-wing alliance wins majority, Greens candidate says
First of all, I'd like to correct what's been said here at the State Council has actually ruled that the far right is from the far right is on the left is not the far left. And that's not me saying that that's the State Council. Everyone can verify that. So first of all, that's that's the case. And then when you look at the saying that is the leader of the popular, actually, you know, our coalition is a coalition of all our party leaders. I'm from the Green Party, we have Marine. Olivier for the back socialist, there isn't a leader of this alliance. And actually when we look at what's going to happen, we've been very deliberate in saying that actually we weren't going to say who was going to be our Prime Minister, for example. We wanted to be a consensual figure. And so we want to make sure that all of the parliamentary groups put forward someone and then that there's a decision that's made collectively. So I think again, like there's a lot of things that are being said about our alliance that are, you know, to try to stigmatize us, which is unfair and untrue. Very quickly, if I may, who do you want then to be the Prime Minister? Should your alliance do well in a week? I think that's for something that's something for us to decide we're unifying. Well, no, clearly not because he's not a consensual figure and we want it to be someone who is a consensual figure. So that's definitely not going to be the case. And I think we need to definitely unify on our programme. If you look at our programme, it's very clear on tackling anti-Semitism. And I want to be really clear about that. Basically, if you look at who has had historically anti-Semitism discrimination at its core, it's always been the far right and we've seen that some of those been condemnations on their side. There's been like legal. Legal pursuits against them, there hasn't been that for our alliance and we've been very clear on combating that. Of course we've still got work to do on our parties and everyone has work to do to try and tackle discrimination, including anti-Semitism. And we have to have some humility around that. And I really want to be clear, but definitely we are not an alliance to be afraid of, but an alliance for Hope Charlotte.
