‘Jubilation’, ‘euphoria’ at far-right National Rally headquarters
Jubilation are really a reaction of euphoria for the several hundred Assembly and that's your National Rally supporters that have gathered here to voice really their support for Marine Le Pen and for the party itself. When those numbers were announced just after 8:00 PM a local time. It is of course, as Mark was pointing out, that those are unprecedented numbers for a party from the far right of the political spectrum here and France. So it's clearly they're not really used to that kind of performance on a national, national level. Even in the past half hour, they've already opened the champagne. So there was perhaps a sentiment that they were expecting this to be a good night. We'll have to wait and see to to what extent that pans out across the national level, but here in in Amberman we'll be waiting too to see what exactly are the local numbers. We know that the the turnout was extremely high here as it was across the country, 59% here at 5:00 PM. That is 18 points higher than in 2022. It is likely that will play out in favour of Marine Le Pen here in Enumbermore itself. She's been elected here two times on the road. That's likely to be elected here for the third time. It will be crucial for her to be able to demonstrate that she is able to be elected from the first round to concentrate on the national picture over the next seven days or so. Now, I've been speaking to some of the supporters here and there's a couple of things that we couldn't really talk about due to the electoral rules, but it's interesting. To Demond, to talk to people here, to ask why exactly it is they're here, and it really does divide into two broad pictures. There's the anti Emmanuel Macron. Message we are expecting Marilla's Pennsylvania to be speaking in the next few minutes. So I will pass you over to her as she takes to the stage. But to return to those the issues that the people say that they're voting on here, there's the anti Emmanuel Mac on the anti president of France sentiment which is extremely strong and we've seen that over the past three weeks since the the elections were called by Emmanuel Macron. OK, look, I'll keep you posted if that that speech does start, but also of course. So those cheers are continuing. We're not yet seeing Marine Le Pen on the stage, but perhaps we can crossover soon.
