Knicks Biggest Winner of Offseason So Far?
NBA free agency is in full force, as there have been a number of big moves already made in the first couple of days. The offseason is starting to get crazy, and some teams have fared better than others.
In a recent article by Brad Botkin of CBS Sports, he outlines the biggest winners and losers of the offseason so far. One of his winners is the New York Knicks, as he thinks their move for Mikal Bridges was perfect for the team.

"With OG Anunoby re-signed, the Knicks are one of the few teams that can match the Celtics' blueprint of a whole squad of top-shelf perimeter defenders funneling scorers toward an elite rim protector," Botkin writes. "It's impossible to overstate how much Bridges elevates this already very good team."
The Knicks made one of the biggest moves of the offseason whenever they traded away five first-round picks and a pick-swap for Bridges, and it elevates the team to one of the favorites to win the title entering next season.
As for the draft, the Knicks did not do as much as some other teams, but they did select Tyler Kolek out of Marquette. Considering he was named Big East Player of the Year, getting him in the second round seems like a heck of a bargain.
The Knicks seem to be going all in on competing with the Boston Celtics in the East and going for their first title since 1973. If that is ultimately the goal, their offseason is off to a great start.
