ALBAWABA - Tobey Maguire and Sami Raimi's Iconic Superhero Film Spider-Man 2 celebrated its 20th anniversary today as fans of the friendly neighborhood superhero took to multiple social media outlets and celebrated the occasion.
In our eyes, nothing comes close to Tobby Maguire's Spider-Man trilogy except Miles Morales' Spiderverse franchise by Sony Animation, since nobody played Spidey better than him in the live-action movies.

Still, both Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield did an exceptional job after Maguire handed them the torchlight. Moreover, we also believe that Garflied should get his redemption arc and finally receive the third film that was never released.
The 2004 movie had a significant impact on both superheroes and pop culture. It received a plethora of high ratings among critics and plenty of praise from audiences deeming it one of the most popular in the franchise.
what made Spider-man 2 so special as well, was its iconic and beloved villain, Doctor Octopus (Aka Doctor Octavius):
It wouldn't have been Spider-Man 2 without Alfred Molina as Doc Ock/ Dr. Otto Octavius
(Sony Pictures / Spider-Man 2)
Alfred Molina's performance as Doctor Ock has proven to be one of the most iconic in the series next to William Dafoe's exceptional portrayal of Spidey's other villain, The Green Goblin.
Unfortunately, despite Garfield and Holland's excellent take on Spider-Man, the movies were definitely lacking when it came to villains as none of them stood out compared to Maguire's trilogy.
The villains in Maguire's versions all had a backstory and were written properly giving them character development. Moreover, with character development comes sympathy from the audience. With every villain getting a backstory it strengthens their reasoning in doing such heinous acts and putting everybody in danger.
