ITV Coronation Street mystery hospital visitor leaves Roy Cropper's family concerned

Coronation Street will be airing a new twist next week as a mystery hospital visitor leaves Roy Cropper's family concerned.

It's been a tough few weeks for Roy after he was wrongly arrested, charged and the number one suspect for the supposed murder of missing teenager Lauren Bolton. Soap fans will recall that Joel Deering was revealed to be Lauren's real killer in a huge twist and the police have since arrested abuser Nathan Curtis, who previously made Bethany Platt's life a living misery, thinking he's the culprit, resulting in Roy finally being freed.

In upcoming scenes, Roy is set for more heartbreak when he steps onto the cobbles to take some homemade soup to colleague Shona Platt. As he heads to Shona's, Roy is confronted by a gang of yobs calling him names and he stumbles to the floor in terrifying scenes.

Carla Connor is quick to rush to his aid but it's clear Roy is in pain. Things go from bad to worse when Shona admits she was never ill, which results in Roy sending her and Evelyn Plummer packing. Shona is quick to tell Roy's niece, Nina Lucas, what has happened when an ambulance rounds the corner. Worrying about Roy, the duo rush into the café to find Roy being given CPR in a horrifying twist. Later, in the hospital, a mystery visitor appears at Roy's bedside...

Later in the week, Roy drifts in and out of consciousness whilst his mystery visitor stays at his bedside before disappearing. It's not long until Roy tells Nina about his surprise visitor. However, the shock news leaves Nina wondering if he is hallucinating. Who does he think he has seen and will Roy be okay?

It comes as evil Joel recently picked a new victim after he spotted Max's on-off girlfriend Sabrina in a state of distress outside the police station and learnt that her brother had been arrested. Joel handed her his business card and told her to give him a call. In a recent episode, Joel conveniently bumped into Sabrina in the precinct, where they both had a coffee.

However, later on, Sabrina's mate headed over and pointed out Joel was a creep, warning she should steer clear. Sabrina's friend then blackmailed Joel and was revealed to be DS Lisa Swain's daughter, Betsy, last week in a big twist.

Coronation Street airs every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads.
