Airtel vs Jio: Prepaid 5G plans comparison after latest price hike

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, two of India’s telecom giants, both revised their tariff rates. While Airtel's hike is in the 10-21% range, Jio has increased the prices by 12-25%. The prices from both companies will be applicable from July 3.

Prepaid Plans: Airtel vs Jio

Unlimited Voice Plans:

Airtel: The 28-day plan now costs ₹199, up from ₹179. Their 84-day plan jumped from ₹455 to ₹509, and the annual plan has increased to ₹1,999 from ₹1,799.

Jio: Their 28-day 2GB plan is now ₹189, up from ₹155. For three months, the 6GB plan went up to ₹479 from ₹395, and their yearly 24GB plan now costs ₹1,899, up from ₹1,559.

Daily Data Plans:

Airtel: The 1GB/day for 28 days now costs ₹299, up from ₹265. Their 3GB/day plan rose to ₹449 from ₹399. For a longer period, their 84-day 1.5GB/day plan is now ₹859, up from ₹719.

Jio: The 28-day 1GB/day plan is ₹249, up from ₹209. Their 3GB/day plan for the same period increased to ₹449 from ₹399. For 84 days, the 1.5GB/day plan costs ₹799, up from ₹666.

Data Add-Ons:

Airtel: The 1GB add-on is now ₹22, up from ₹19. The 4GB add-on increased to ₹77 from ₹65.

Jio: The 1GB add-on costs Rs 19, up from Rs 15. The 6GB add-on is Rs 69, up from Rs 61.
