Fans claimed that Denmark had 'been robbed' after defender Joachim Andersen suffered a double VAR nightmare during his side's Euro 2024 last-16 clash with Germany.
Andersen thought he had put Denmark in front but his goal was ruled out for offside.
Shortly afterwards, there was further agony for Andersen as he conceded a penalty for an alleged handball.
Kai Havertz stepped up to take the penalty and managed to find the net.
One user wrote on X that it was a 'heartbreaking couple of minutes for Joachim Andersen.'

Former Norwegian player Jan Age Fjortoft stated that the penalty shouldn't have been given against Andersen.
Fjortoft wrote: 'The handball - rule is so not good! There is no way Andersen did that on purpose !!!!'.
