Actress Jane Lynch and wife Jennifer Cheyne were seen together on a lunch date, in a rare public outing for the famously private couple.
The pair, who married in Santa Barbara in 2021, live in the idyllic yet star-studded seaside town of Montecito but are hardly spotted side by side in public.
In fact, the Glee star, 63, can sometimes be seen grabbing a coffee at Pierre LaFond or lunch at Tre Lune, but is usually alone or accompanied by pals and fellow locals like Ellen DeGeneres.
Lynch and Cheyne, 62, a screenwriter, have attended events together but their real private lives have for the most part remained just that, private.

But last week DailyMail.com spotted the five-time Emmy winner with her longtime partner having lunch at the new hotspot Lilac Montecito on Coast Village Road.
The couple had a picturesque window seat and enjoyed their lunch at the café that boasts gluten free baked goods and other delicacies.

After an hour the two left and headed back to their car, with the actress flashing a smile as she was photographed on the street.
'Only use the good photos okay?' she joked.
Despite playing villainous characters like Sue Sylvester on Glee from 2009 to 2015, Jane is well known around Montecito for being one of the few friendly celebrities to bump into since moving to the seaside enclave in late 2020.

'She's like, "I don't need to hire a handyman".'
'Although she's feminine and soft, she's got a thing of tools that she brings out and she can fix almost anything, plumbing, loose shutters, and our air conditioner. She has a patience for detail.'
However, no one should find it odd that the couple spends many of their days apart.
Jane has said: 'We have our own routines and separate spaces to retreat to within our home. But then we'll have coffee together in the morning or meet up for a meal.'
