Meloni condemns racism among ruling party's youth league revealed in exposé
Italies Prime Minister Giorgio Maloney has condemned racist and anti-Semitic remarks made by members of the ruling parties Youth League. Speaking to reporters in Brussels, Maloney said anti-Semitism and racism are incompatible with the Brothers of Italy. Those comments come after two members of the National Youth resigned over anti-Semitic slurs and threats made against a Jewish senator. The left wing news outlet Fan Page claimed in its expose it had video evidence of National Youth members using racist slurs and making Nazi salutes. There's been outrage from members of the Jewish community of Rome, with some calling on Maloney to punish the youngsters involved. Brothers of Italy has its roots in the Italian Social Movement, a party formed in 1946 by supporters of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
