Taylor Swift given sweet gift by major Irish star with cheeky message ahead of Irish gig
Taylor Swift was treated to a sweet surprise from the band U2 as she arrived in Dublin this afternoon. The singer said she was "already feeling that Irish hospitality."
Swift shared a picture on her Instagram story of flowers and a card with a special message from the Dublin-born rock band, who called themselves her “Irish fan club.”
“Dear Taylor,” it read, “welcome back to our hometown… leave some of it standing?!!! Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”

The musical icons go way back, and Bono has been vocal about his support for Taylor throughout her career, even announcing “I'm a Swiftie,” in a Billboard interview back in 2022.
Swift seems to share the love for U2 and Bono saying, “He's so nice he sent me roses when I played in Dublin.”
In a post from 2018, Swift shared her surprise and delight with fans, writing: “I WAS NOT READY FOR IT. I LOVE U2 I LOVE IRELAND. LET’S DO THIS CROKE PARK!!!”
Swift touched down in Dublin early this afternoon ahead of her sold out show in the Aviva Stadium. Fans who have been waiting since 2018 for her return to Dublin will take over the city across the weekend.
