I'm Julia Boorstin, and this is your CNBC Tech Tech Briefing. The European Union is accusing Microsoft of breaching antitrust rules of what it calls an abusive bundling of its Teams and Office products. In a statement, the European Commission says it has informed the tech giant of its view that it breached laws by tying the two products together in its suites for businesses. Once the company responds, the Commission can decide if infringement has taken place and ban the conduct, as well as charge the company up to 10% of global revenue. Microsoft saying it will work to find solutions to address the concerns. Oracle is warning that a TikTok ban would hurt its business. The company provides cloud infrastructure for the social media giant, which has amassed over 150 million users in the US. In April, President Biden signed a bill demanding China's bike dance sell TikTok or face a ban in the country. Oracle saying in his annual report quote. If we are unable to provide those services to TikTok, we cannot redeploy that capacity in a timely manner. Our revenues and profits would be adversely impacted. Amazon's Prime Day sales event will return on July 16th and 17th, the company announcing today. The event will feature millions of deals, with discounts dropping as often as every 5 minutes during select periods throughout the event. Amazon first launched Prime Day in 2015 to offer discounts exclusively to its members. Last year, total sales in the US during Prime Day hit a record $12.7 billion.
