Bayern Munich Campus Round Up: Lots of official transfers, partnership with Unterhaching confirmed
While the majority of the focus is on the senior team’s transfer business, Bayern Munich is getting a lot of work done at the Campus, with four players leaving the club on loan or permanent basis and another player being signed. The majority of these moves were between Bayern and 3. Liga side SpVgg Unterhaching, cementing the recently formed partnership between the two clubs. Here are all of the moves, as confirmed by the official Bayern campus twitter account:
Maximilian Hennig moves on loan to Unterhaching in the first of the agreed three loan transfers in the new partnership between the clubs, but not before extending his contract until 2027. The 17-year-old left back will skip Bayern II entirely, having spent the past season with Bayern’s U-19 side. It will be a big jump for Hennig, but the U-17 World Cup and European Championship winner with Germany will be confident he will be up for it. Adam Aznou gets all the media attention but he is not the only talented left back at the club.
Lenn Jastremski moved to Unterhaching permanently as his contract expires on the 30th of June. Last season, he was on loan at second division Austrian outfit Grazer AK. Jastremski was initially signed by the club to compete in the 3. Liga for the 20/21 season for Bayern II, but Bayern did not have a plan for the 23-year-old striker after Bayern II was relegated. A permanent separation should find him a more permanent home than Bayern Munich.
Jakob Mayer is also leaving Bayern for free on the 30th of June and moving to Regionalliga Northeast side VSG Altglienicke. Last season, the 22-year-old goalkeeper was on loan at Regionalliga Southwest side FC 08 Homburg. After suffering through a couple of terrible injuries over the last few years, including one that kept him out for nearly a year, Mayer needs consistent minutes he will struggle to find in Munich or on loan.
Justin Janitzek completes the group of free transfers out of the club, as the 20-year-old center back moves to 3. Liga side Wehen Wiesbaden. Last season, he was on loan at FC St. Gallen in the Swiss Super League. Justin Janitzek finds himself in the awkward spot of being too good for Bayern II in the Regionalliga and without a chance of making the senior squad, so he needed to go.
Hannis Heilmair is the one incoming player of the bunch, as the 20-year-old goalkeeper joins Bayern II on a free from Unterhaching. Could this hint at a move for Ritzy Hülsmann?
