UAE national team faces its Qatari counterpart on Sept. 5 in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

KUALA LUMPUR, 27th June, 2024 (WAM) -- The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the dates of the UAE national football team's matches in Group A of the (final) Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The UAE are placed in Group A alongside Qatar, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and North Korea.
The UAE will play their first qualifier in Qatar on 5th September, followed by two home matches against Iran on 10th September, North Korea on 10th October, Uzbekistan away on 15th October and Kyrgyzstan on 14th November.
The second leg starts on 19th November with Qatar, followed by Iran on 20th March, North Korea on 25th March, Uzbekistan on 5th June and Kyrgyzstan on 10th June in the UAE.
