One Show chaos as Stacey Dooley is rushed off set as Roman Kemp chants 'go go go'

Alex Jones and Roman Kemp were at the helm of The One Show, where they welcomed a slew of celebs including Stacey Dooley and Celia Imrie.

Strictly champ Stacey got candid about her latest gig in the West End during Thursday's episode (June 27) sd she is set to take on the role of Jenny in the much-anticipated return of 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Roman probed the telly favourite about her character, leading 37 year old Stacey to reveal she plays a woman teetering on "the edge of an existential crisis". Stacey explained: "She's just had a baby. The baby is still on the boob. She's knackered. It's all going on."

Stacey added with a laugh: "I thought you know what? If I can try anything, I can try this...".

This comes after the documentary-maker gave birth to her first child, daughter Minnie, with partner Kevin Clifton last year, reports the Express.

But there was no time for further chit-chat as radio DJ Roman soon had to cut in, telling the Stacey she needed to dash off for her stage performance that night.

He said: "In fact, we can't keep you long. I'm being told now, you're on stage in about 40 minutes... and your bike. You've got a motorbike taking you there."

Stacey joked: "How showbiz is this Roman?". Roman then gestured to a motorbike helmet, saying: "We need to get this on you,".

As Stacey made a swift exit from the set, Roman cheered her on with, "Go, go, go," while Alex sent her off with a warm statement, "Break a leg."

Fans were all over Twitter praising the warm atmosphere on The One Show, with one posting: "Great sofa there on the #Theoneshow with Stacey Dooley and Celia. Stacey is so lovely the way she included Celia in her interview and not just addressing the presenters like most do. So grounded and down to earth."

Another viewer shared their adoration too: "#TheOneShow aww love stacey Dooley," while another chimed in with a simple yet effective: "Love Stacey."
