The Steam Summer Sale is now on, giving computer gamers a huge number of discounts and offers.

The website, which operates as a subsidy of the game developer Valve, is giving reductions of up to 70 per cent on downloadable titles.

There are also discounts to be had on merchandise and add-ons, such as profile stickers and bundles to be had for multiple titles.

Different game producers are putting titles and franchises on sale at different times over the period of the sale, so it is worth keeping an eye on what you are after.

Here is what to look out for in the summer sale.

When is the summer sale?

The 2024 Steam Summer Sale went live today (June 27).

The sale will last until 6pm on July 11.

What games have deals?

Gamers are getting excited about titles such as Palworld, known as Pokémon with guns, and Rain World, an atmospheric platformer.

As revealed in the Steam trailer, other top titles on sale also include iRacing, Disney Dreamlight Valley, and Supermarket Simulator.

The sale will see developers promote their own franchises with discounts on select dates.
