The NHL handed out its annual awards Monday night in Las Vegas honouring the best of the best for the 2023-24 season.

HART MEMORIAL TROPHY

Presented to the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team.

Winner: Nathan MacKinnon (COL)

VEZINA TROPHY

Awarded to the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position.

JAMES NORRIS MEMORIAL TROPHY

Awarded to the defence player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position.

FRANK J. SELKE TROPHY

Awarded to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.

WILLIE O’REE COMMUNITY HERO AWARD (Canada)

Awarded to an individual who — through the sport of hockey — has positively impacted their community, culture or society in Canada.

Awarded to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.

Awarded to the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.

MARK MESSIER NHL LEADERSHIP AWARD
