The cast of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder
The eagerly awaited BBC adaptation of the popular book series, A Good Girl's Guide To Murder, is set to hit UK screens this July before it's screened across the world. The series, based on Holly Jackson's trilogy of the same name, stars Emma Myers - known for her role as Wednesday Addams' werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair in the Netflix hit Wednesday - as determined teenager Pip Fitz-Amobi.
Pip, a 17 year old, is hell-bent on unravelling the mystery behind a murder-suicide that rocked her fictional hometown of Little Kilton, modelled after Roald Dahl's real-life hometown of Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. The police are convinced that five years ago, student Andie Bell was killed by her boyfriend Sal Singh, who subsequently took his own life.
However, Pip soon suspects that the real murderer might still be at large, inadvertently making herself their next target as she edges closer to the truth. Author Holly Jackson has hinted at 'heartbreak, tears and gasps', along with 'laugh-out-loud moments' and 'pulse-pounding twists' in the adaptation.

The six-part series, commissioned by the BBC, will initially air on BBC Three and iPlayer in the UK and Ireland in July before landing on Netflix for its global airing on August 1. The show was adapted by Poppy Cogan and directed by Dolly Wells.
Joining Emma in the cast are Zain Iqbal as Sal's brother Ravi Singh, Asha Banks as Cara Ward and Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson. Raiko Gohara, Jude Morgan-Collie and Anna Maxwell Martin complete the line-up, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Netflix took to social media on Wednesday (June 26) to share the trailer and confirm the global release date, posting: "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder starring Emma Myers and Zain Iqbal is coming to Netflix AUGUST 1! Five years after the murder of a 17-year-old girl in a sleepy English town, one student is determined to uncover the truth and find the real killer."

The first book, Good Girl's Guide To Murder, was released in 2019, quickly becoming a New York Times bestseller and selling millions of copies across the globe. It was followed by Good Girl, Bad Blood in 2020 and As Good as Dead in 2021, with a prequel novella also being published in 2021.
Author Holly Jackson told Netflix that she was 'beyond excited' for the release of the series, adding: "I hope viewers will love discovering (or rediscovering) all the secrets and lies of our small English town...
