Oasis reunion 'odds-on' as Liam Gallagher tour reaches climax in Manchester
It may have failed to come to fruition last week in Manchester, but now an Oasis reunion is odds-on with the bookmakers as Liam Gallagher returns to his hometown on Thursday (June 27) and Friday (June 28).
Oasis split in 2009 following a series of altercations between Liam and his older brother Noel, which prompted the latter to declare he "simply could not go on working with him a day longer". Liam's solo success soared in recent years and he's currently in the final stages of performing the hits of Oasis' debut Definitely Maybe to mark the 30th anniversary of its release.
Speculation surrounding a reconciliation of the siblings hit fever pitch last week after Noel was spotted in Manchester on the eve of the first of Liam's shows at the newly-built Co-op Live arena. But despite reserving a VIP seat for the 57-year old - as Liam does at every performance - Noel didn't show.

Now in analysis carried out by Gambling.com, reunion odds have been slashed to just 4/6 ahead of Liam's next shows - a probability factor of 60%. Betting expert, James Leyfield explained: "Despite there being just two dates left on Liam's Definitely Maybe tour, what better place for the pair to reunite than Manchester?
"It's 4/6 with the bookies the siblings make an historic comeback at the Co-op Live arena on Thursday or Friday, the final date of Liam's Definitely Maybe Tour, and 8/11 that the pair reunite at some point this year."
Earlier this week Liam appeared to rule out a reunion during the first half of the week, but cryptically failed to mention the two days he's back in Manchester. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "So these so called dates Oasis held for a comeback are on a Monday Tuesday and Wednesday leave it out you s****bubbles LG x."
James added: "If it doesn't happen this year, then it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Liam and Noel can get together in 2025 (3/1) or 2026 (5/1)." Elsewhere in his odds, he added that previous collaborator and Stones Roses guitarist John Squire is just 2/1 to join him on stage (33% probability), while rarely-seen former Oasis bassist Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan is at 3/1 (25%).
When asked by a fan on X in April if Guigsy will be joining him on stage, Liam replied: "He knows where I am". Liam's pal and former Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs has performed alongside him on every night of the tour after recovering from tonsil cancer.
