BERGEN, NORWAY - The Rand was seemingly initially euphoric over the prospect of a government of national unity involving the ANC, DA and IFP.

But as the announcement of President Ramaphosa’s cabinet has been delayed due to wrangling, it has lost some of its strength.

Of course it’s influenced by global factors as well.
