King Charles "Has Had Discussions" About Visiting the U.S. to See Archie and Lilibet
He's reportedly "desperate" to see his grandkids.

While King Charles can see Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children at the drop of a hat, it's a different story when it comes to his other two grandkids, Archie and Lilibet. But in an attempt to spend more time with them, Charles, who has only met Lili once and Archie a handful of times, may be planning a trip to the United States soon—according to royal author Tom Quinn.
“Charles has had discussions about an official visit to the United States at some time in the future, and there is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren,” Quinn told The Mirror. “But there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility.”

Quinn explained that it's also possible for Charles to make "an unpublicized visit" to Montecito as he's "privately visited many other countries" in the past. He continued, "It's certainly possible that would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California. He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lili will not remember him as the warm, friendly grandfather he wants to be.”
A separate source told The Mirror that, as it stands, Charles is "frustrated at the distance" between him and his grandchildren and "only sees Archie and Lilibet on occasional video calls from their parents."

Meanwhile, it's not likely for Harry to bring his children across the pond to visit their grandfather and extended family, considering his legal battle over the loss of his U.K. police protection. He previously told the court that his children can't "feel at home" in the U.K. if it's "not possible to keep them safe" there.
However, there's still hope, as Harry has reportedly been looking for a new property in the U.K. (he and Markle were previously kicked out of Frogmore Cottage by Charles)—which could mean that king could have more access to his grandkids in the future. Quinn added that Harry has been hunting for "a secluded Georgian house" close to his father's Highgrove estate, but apparently nothing has been the right fit.
