NBA insider suggests Clippers could add Eastern Conference star during 2024 NBA Draft
The Los Angeles Clippers could waste no time replacing star forward Paul George, assuming he decides to sign elsewhere.
George is rumored to leave LA this offseason in favor of joining a team such as the Philadelphia 76ers or Houston Rockets. A return home for Chicago Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan is well within the realm of possibilities, according to Bulls insider K.C. Johnson.
”Keep the Clippers in mind as a potential DeMar DeRozan destination if Paul George signs elsewhere,” Johnson wrote.
While DeRozan is a step down from George’s level, the veteran is talented enough to hold the Clippers to a similar standard. Well, that’s assuming superstar Kawhi Leonard sustains solid health throughout the season. It's also unknown where guard James Harden intends to spend the remainder of his career.
Most anticipate the Bulls will kickstart their rebuild this summer, meaning DeRozan could be on the market in the coming days.
