Euro 2024: Carragher blames England star for poor performance
Liverpool Icon, Jamie Carragher has noted that the performance of Bukayo Saka has been very poor so far at Euro 2024.
The entire England team has not been at its best in the ongoing competition in Germany so far, even though they still managed to win their group.
The Three Lions managed a narrow 1-0 win against Serbia in their opener and could only salvage 1-1 and 0-0 draws against Denmark and Slovenia, respectively.
Gareth Southgate’s side has faced plenty of criticism from fans and pundits alike for their lacklustre showings.
Carragher has picked out Arsenal star Saka, who according to him, has flattered to deceive in the Euros.
He wrote in his column for the Telegraph, “Saka is outstanding for Arsenal. He has had minimal impact in the past two-and-a-half games.
“At what point do we take a step back and agree that the underperformance is as much about individuals as the tactics?”
