Mersey Ferries suspended 'until further notice'
The commuter service and River Explorer cruises are effected
Mersey ferries have been suspended "until further notice".
The commuter service and River Explorer sightseeing cruises did not run on Tuesday and will not run on Wednesday, Mersey Ferries said.
"Due to operational reasons, services are currently suspended until further notice," it said on social media site X.
Mersey Ferries asked that people "keep checking back" and said it would let them know "as soon as possible" when the services would resume.
Mersey Ferries previously said a replacement bus service was in place for both the morning and afternoon commuter ferries between Seacombe Ferry Terminal and Hamilton Square station, and that ferry tickets would be accepted.
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, which runs the ferries, has been contacted for comment.
