Met Office Wednesday Morning Weather Forecast 26/06/2024
Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday. It was a muggy night last night across England and Wales, fresher across the western side of Scotland. Most of us, they're waking up to some sunshine now. High pressure remains in charge. Today is so quiet weather very warm or hot. But then later on you can see here, this is a maturing area of low pressure. It's relatively deep for this time of year, delivering more clouds and showery bursts of rain and some fresh air from the West through Thursday and into Friday. And then the winds pick up some strength on Friday morning. It's a quiet start though this morning, more cloud across eastern side of Scotland and even a little bit of patchy rain. Brighter skies further W as well as Northern Ireland. You'll have a bright start and some lovely sunshine coming through for the bulk of England and Wales. But notice along this eastern strip here low cloud and even some mist and a similar situation down towards Devon and Cornwall. However this will tend to break up and burn back as we head through today, so for most places it's a dry day with some sunny spells. Notice this cloud along this eastern side of Scotland. Fairly stubborn but it will break at times and in fact, as the sun gets to work we could see one or two isolated but heavy showers across Scotland through the afternoon. It's a fine morning across Northern Ireland, the cloud breaking up here and some lovely weather coming through across England and Wales. Sunshine turning a bit hazy across the northwest of Scotland and certainly this cloud here may even produce a little showery rain through the afternoon temperatures. Will reach 26 to 33 anywhere from mid Wales down towards the southeast. For Scotland and Northern Ireland, it's 2122. Helped with some sunshine. However, through evening time we hang on to drier weather across England and Wales before this Bank of showery rain extends across Scotland, moves in across Wales, the West Country, northwest England, but notice into Thursday morning it does weaken. All the while hazy sunshine as we start the across more central and eastern areas of England and Wales. Some showery rain always across more western parts and it could be quite moderate in places across more northern and northeastern areas of Scotland with stronger winds here. Now the wind will be a feature of the weather later on Thursday elsewhere and through the day. One or two cherry buzz can't be ruled out. Anywhere from the spine of England, northern England down towards the Midlands, central southern England. We hang on to the heat though. Anywhere from the Midlands eastwards. 2627°C and your outlook through Friday. Notice the temperatures are a good few degrees lower. There will be some sunshine around. Going to be windy in the north.
