Howie Long has high praise for Raiders star pass rusher
Arguably the one of the greatest defenders to ever play for the Raiders is Howie Long, he recently appeared on Maxx Crosby's podcast "The Rush" and had some high praise for the ascending star. This was first reported by Austin Boyd with "justblogbaby."

Long took some time to give Crosby his flowers, even saying that he sees some of himself in Crosby. Especially in the way they think, more specifically on little mistakes that those who aren't well versed in the art of pass rushing wouldn't understand.
“The thing about it is, people like you – and there are a lot of players in the league like this – I’m not sure they all think the same way, but I always felt like I never was happy,”
One of Crosby's greatest strength that you'll hear during the broadcast on Sundays is his "motor" Crosby never quits, it becomes mind over matter, and his mind is going to win every time. Crosby's motor and will power is what keeps him on the field for a staggering amount of snaps.
Crosby has been in the ranks of the top defensive players for the past two years now, slowly solidifying himself as one of the league's best. After finishing in the top 4 for Defensive Player of the Year in 2023, he's got a great base to continue building off of.
The Raiders greatest roster strength has been deemed by multiple sources including ESPN as the defense, a large reason for that is Crosby and the standard he demands he has for his teammates and himself.
All this to say it should be no surprise Howie Long likes what he sees out of Crosby, there is a lot to like. He's a vocal leader, who can also lead by example, and he plays week in and week out like some of the best in the world.
