On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Denver Nuggets at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Steph Curry is playing in his 914th career game, which moves ahead of Latrell Sprewell and ties Bo Outlaw and Allen Iverson for 242nd on the NBA’s all-time regular season games played list.
Following Iverson and Outlaw, the next players for Curry to pass will be Al Jefferson (915), George Hill (915) and Clarence Weatherspoon (915).
Curry came into the evening with averages of 27.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point range in 31 games.
He will turn 36 later this season but still remains among the best ten players in the league and will likely make his tenth NBA All-Star Game.
Despite Curry’s strong start to the 2023-24 season, the Warriors are the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 16-17 record in their first 33 games.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Orlando Magic by a score of 121-115.
In 35 minutes of playing time, Curry had 36 points, two rebounds, six assists, four steals and one block while shooting 12/20 from the field and 4/9 from the three-point range.
Curry has spent his entire career with Golden State and has led the franchise to four NBA Championships (and six NBA Finals appearances) since the 2015 season.
His career averages are 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.
