Popular TV presenter Shamoly Khera is ready with her next book
Shamoly Khera, a renowned name in the Indian entertainment industry is one person you would want to strike a conversation with. Being in the showbiz for a long time, she has interviewed top B-Town faces including Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan among others. While presenting is her forte, writing is her passion, and after the success of her first book ‘Bedazzle’, she is geared up for her next.
Without letting much out of the bag, during a candid conversation, Shamoly shared how the plot of the book revolves around the importance of women prioritizing their ambitions and taking space in the world. “Women are extremely competent to do anything they set their mind to, all they need is an equal opportunity and self-belief,” said Shamoly adding, “It is a beautiful time to witness the transition of women taking up leadership roles confidently and the world getting used to their mettle.”
While answering a question on whether or not the world is ready for the change women wish to see, Shamoly remarked, “We are almost there and its crucial to sensitise our generation and the ones after on workplace parity.”
Her first book ‘Bedazzle’ had received critical acclamation in the self-help category and was also the book for which she won the ‘Best Emerging Author’ at Times Most Influential Personalities 2021.
“I feel my second book found me before I was ready. This exciting phenomenon of working women in India that I am a witness to had to be documented. While I may be writing a book, thousands of Indian women are currently writing the story of their lives with so much grace. A note to women reading this – your power has just started to unleash – you have no idea what you are capable of. So, keep at it, every day,” the writer quipped.
While we are excited to watch the second book unfold, we extend our best wishes to the writer.
