The Carolina Panthers are wasting no time putting together a star-studded list of candidates for their job opening at head coach.
As of this Monday night, the Panthers have already requested interviews with nine different candidates.
For starters, the Panthers have requested permission to interview the Baltimore Ravens’ offensive and defensive coordinators, Todd Monken and Mike Macdonald, respectively.
Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith, Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales are also on Carolina’s radar.
The Panthers will need their next coach to be all in on Bryce Young. After all, the franchise is committed to the Alabama product for the next few seasons.
Candidates for the job, meanwhile, will require patience from the Panthers’ ownership group. They can’t just toss coaches aside the minute there’s some inconvenience.
We’ll provide updates on Carolina’s search for a new coach throughout the offseason.
