The proper dosage of krill oil depends on the amount of EPA and DHA present. For maintenance, it is recommended to take at least 1000mg a day. For people with high cholesterol or triglyceride, it is best to take 2000-3000mg of krill oil per day to produce any lowering effects. Maximum daily intake is set at 4000mg per day.

Krill oil is rich in docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), which have anti-inflammatory effects and improve the amount of lipids in the blood. The recommended daily allowance of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is 250 to 500 milligrams (mg), the same as for other fish oils.

There is no singular proper dosage of krill oil. This is dependent on your supplement of choice and then based on your individual omega 3 requirements.
