Alec Musser’s former girlfriend and close pal Lucy Faddoul has paid tribute to the late actor, honoring the All My Children star for his ‘unwavering spirit of fun and adventure for life’.
Musser, who was also known for his guest role on Desperate Housewives, was found dead by his fiancée Paige Press with an apparent shotgun wound to the chest on Saturday, January 13 at his Del Mar, California home.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, Faddoul stated that the news of Musser’s death had been ‘devastating’.
The reality star, who won the first season of Bachelor in Paradise, revealed that despite dating for three years until 2014, the pair had remained close friends ever since and she had last heard from the fitness model in December.

‘We spoke monthly to check in with each other’s lives,’ the TV star explained. ‘This has been devastating for me, my heart is in a million pieces.’
Faddoul explained how the pair’s relationship had been a significant one in her life as she stated: ‘We met at La B’eurge in Del Mar in 2011. Alec was my first love, who turned into my forever friend.
‘Last I saw him was at my vacation home in La Quinta, California. We played tennis and rode the golf cart around La Quinta.’
The reality star, who first appeared on season 18 of The Bachelor, went on to reminisce on some of her favorite memories shared with the star as she stated in a tribute: ‘Alec was born with a pair of skis in one hand and a surfboard in the other. He had a spirit that was competitive in the most jubilant ways.
‘I’m one of the many he taught to ski. As he was giving instruction on how to pizza, I was already half way down the mountain headed straight for a tree. After my tumble in the snow, he smirked his smile and said, “Well hun, you had to stop some how”.’
She continued: ‘I would have much rather been eating one of our favorites together, a slice of pizza and a root beer.
‘He took such pride in eating healthy. Though he was a cookie monster, he always made the best healthiest meals to share.’
Faddoul added: ‘I will never forget his need for speed moto track days, our rides through Rancho Santa Fe, our days at the ranch, our Mexico trip with uncle Ricky, and above all else, our countless sunset walks with the love of his life, his dog Calle.’

The reality star dated Musser from 2011 till 2014 before she went on to find love with husband Marcus Grodd on the first season of Bachelor In Paradise later that same year.
Musser was found in his bathroom after Press last saw him alive on the evening of Friday, January 12, per a San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office press release published Tuesday.
The following morning Press found Musser ‘seated and slumped forward’ on the bathroom floor with a wound to the chest and a firearm near him.
Before his cause of death was released, Press told Fox News Digital Musser was suffering from ‘a severe case of Covid’ at the time of his death – he was vaccinated and boosted.
Press declared it the ‘worst day of my life’ as she confirmed that the actor passed away.
The couple got engaged last year and Press posted a series of throwback photos on her Instagram Story in a tribute to the late actor.
‘RIP to the love of my life,’ she wrote on Instagram over a ‘vision board for 2023’ on which she had posted photos of him and engagement images. ‘I will never stop loving you.’
Faddoul stated: ‘Thank you for teaching me what it feels like to be treated so well in a relationship. I will love you forever, and you will forever shine through the sunsets’

The actor also played masseuse Friedrich on Desperate Housewives
Over a photo of them at a red carpet appearance together, she wrote: ‘Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy.’
‘You were the best fiancé I could of [sic] ever asked for,’ she posted alongside a photo of him surprising her with matching Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs. ‘I don’t even think I can drive my g wagon anymore.’
Previously, Musser starred as Del Henry on the long-running television series All My Children.
In July 2005, he was awarded the role after he won the second season of the SOAPnet original series I Wanna Be a Soap Star.
He appeared on a total of 43 episodes until he exited the drama series in 2007.
He had also appeared in Grown Ups, Desperate Housewives, Road to the Altar and Rita Rocks.
An avid athlete since he was a child, the New York native was also a fitness model.
After graduating from the University of San Diego, he started working with the professional ski patrol at Mammouth Mountain.

It was there where he was scouted by an agent for his first modeling job at Abercrombie and Fitch.
His many other modeling credits include GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Speedo and Target.
After landing national commercials, it was then he auditioned for I Wanna Be a Soap Star.
In recent years, he was not active in Hollywood but maintained a presence on social media as he often posted often about his active lifestyle and fitness journey.
His last Instagram post was of himself partaking in one of his favorite outdoor activities and surfing on January 9.
