Madison had showcased her sister’s very shocked reaction on walking into her apartment for the first time
In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 4.9 million times, Madison films herself throughout the process before adding narration.
‘We have to get thrifty with the decor, so when I saw these scrap pieces of wood in the trash, they could be awesome floating shelves,’ she said as she riffled through a stash of discarded offcuts.
She cleaned the boards of grime and sanded the rough patches before heading to a local hardware store.
‘It was such an interesting and fun experience – way more expensive, though.’
Madison explained: ‘[My sister] was really starting with nothing, so we had to come up with furniture and accessories, and it was a trek getting it all home.’
The clip then cut to a packed trunk full of homewares before she and her friends juggled the items in the elevator up to her sister’s flat.
Inside, the transformation continued as the content creator said: ‘We covered up her gray floors to the best of our ability, and then hung some of my favorite Roman shades using a scrap piece of wood because we do not have a tape measure.
‘We found these beautiful burrow wood frames, but didn’t have any art for them.

‘We had recently thrifted this book though, so instead we just ripped some of the pages out and hung those.’
Madison revealed that although her sister’s apartment is only small, she wanted to ‘create separation between the bedroom and living rooms.’
‘We found a track system and hung a flat sheet that would create the separation but not take up any square footage.
‘This was so hard to drill into the ceiling because didn’t have a step ladder and kept falling over and breaking our necks trying to look up.’
Last but not least, Madison and her friends installed a statement mirror which finished the room off nicely.
The social media star, who has more than 80,000 followers on the video-sharing platform, concluded the video by showing the dramatic before and after transformation of the room.
At the end of the clip, the overlaid text in the video said: ‘Love you Rylee! Proud of you!’
