With Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan and Siddharth in the lead roles, having less than a month before its release, the makers of the highly-anticipated sequel film have announced that its release trailer will be unveiled on June 25.

The makers took to their X timeline to post the announcement on June 23, along with a new poster teasing Kamal Haasan's Senapathy character with a back shot, and a caption that read, "Step into the grandeur with SENAPATHY! The INDIAN-2 Trailer is releasing on June 25th, 2024. Brace yourselves for the comeback. (sic)"

What Indian 2 Is All About

Talking to reporters soon after the audio launch event of Indian 2, director Shankar said, "Indian 2 is basically an imagination of how things will be if the Indian Thatha (Grandpa) chooses to return today. Kamal Haasan has played the role of the Indian Thaatha (grandpa) really well. I believe every scene he appears in the film will be fiery. I thank producer Subaskaran, who has made this film on such a huge budget. This is the first time that I have worked with Anirudh. He has given six wonderful songs. I hope you all enjoy."

The Cast And Crew Of Indian 2

Indian 2 is set to hit theatres on July 12. Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kajal Aggarwal play important roles while the film features a wide ensemble cast including SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, and the late Nedumudi Venu. Produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, the film will have cinematography by Ravi Varman and Rathnavelu, with editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the original score and songs for the film and has writers Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar as lyricists.
